About China Town Express
China Town Express is a chinese restaurant in Santa Ana, California. It is listed at 1730 17th St Ste I, Santa Ana, CA 92705, which places it among the local businesses of Santa Ana that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11 amβ9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach China Town Express at (714) 569-1668; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 327 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Santa Ana is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. Getting around Santa Ana is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across California's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Truly a hidden gem of super, fast Chinese food. The orange chicken is to die for. The tempura shrimp is yum too. And the chow mein noodles are delicious. Portions are very generous and the workers are very nice too. Totally recommend! A very busy and popular restaurant with very fresh food.

I LOVE β must have at every visit β the BBQ pork, but everything Iβve had is delicious. The portions are generous, usually enough for two meals, the employees are friendly and the space is clean and welcoming. This is a good place to go whether youβre going to eat in (only about six or seven tables) or take out.
